Last week, we kicked off 2013 by partnering with a local food truck to offer tech-minded job seekers (developers, marketers, and sales people) a free lunch in exchange for checking out opportunities at our “grown-up” startup company. The event launched our 2013 recruitment efforts and provided these hungry job seekers a glimpse into our creative thinking and fun culture.
The goal? To stand out in Chicago’s tech scene as a company that is creative, innovative and stable. We wanted to show that HomeFinder.com is willing to invest in finding the right talent, in a non-traditional way.
Duck N Roll food truck served delicious, Asian inspired “bacos”, tempting hungry job seekers with a “Hungry for a New Job?” sign. Lunch-goers had the opportunity to meet with HomeFinder.com’s Senior Management team members and receive a lunch bag packed with a free lunch and a menu of open positions.

In December 2012, we moved our headquarters across Chicago’s Loop, into the city’s historic Civic Opera Building (20 N. Wacker Drive).
